Reminding of a pointillistic painting, the piece utilizes staccato percussive variations of alternatively pulsating, 4 and 6 sixteenth-notes in an ostinato buildup to a climactic point, expressed in a rich chordal resolution. It is immediately followed by an impressionistic transition to a lyrical, romantic song-like theme played by the strings. From a dreamy diminuendo the rhythms evolve again to lead to a brief and powerful coda.
The composition is clearly an attempt for the composer to unite certain elements of jazz atmosphere with classical music style in a radiant, exciting creation for a new kind of inspiration.
